The SkillsUSA Iowa State Leadership & Skills Conference is the premier annual event celebrating career and technical education, student leadership, and workforce readiness across the state of Iowa.

This multi-day conference brings together middle school, high school, and college/postsecondary members to compete in hands-on skill competitions that reflect real world industry standards in construction, manufacturing, transportation, and leadership. Students demonstrate not only technical excellence, but also professionalism, teamwork, communication, and leadership aligned to the SkillsUSA Framework.

In addition to competitions, the conference features leadership development experiences, recognition, and opportunities for students to connect with educators, industry partners, judges, and volunteers who support Iowa’s future workforce. Top performing students earn the honor of representing Iowa at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference.
